We are currently seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented Social Media Specialist. What You'll Do
  • Create daily static posts, stories, and short form content (partnering with the video content team) across all Micro Center Social Media channels.
  • Build social media calendar in partnership with the Integrated Marketing Specialist for all social platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok
  • Daily moderation (e.g. scheduling, publishing, and community engagement) of all social platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok
  • Planning, scheduling, proofreading copy and properly executing content across all social channels, including cross-channel marketing promos, contests and giveaways
  • Stay up-to-date on technology, PC building, electronics, AI, 3D printing and social media trends and develop current and relevant content ideas
  • Work cross-functionally with the Integrated Marketing Specialist, Influencer Specialist, video team, written content team, buyers, customer service, and store operations to maximize customer experience
  • Manage community relationships, engagement with customers across all platforms, and coordinate with customer service for customer outreach and inquiries
  • Compiling social media analytics and reports as needed

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in business, marketing, communications or other related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in social media and content creation for a consumer brand
  • Experience working with social media platforms (Including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok) and a solid understanding of various marketing tools
  • A passion and extensive knowledge of technology trends as they relate to PCs, PC building, gaming, electronics, AI, 3D printing and other products is a must.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust priorities accordingly
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a vigilant attention to detail
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
  • Hands-on and results-oriented personality; someone who enjoys seeing through projects from ideation to completion
  • Strong ability to build relationships - a great team player with a positive attitude; but can also work independently
