Responsibilities:

  • Supervises overall staff performance as it pertains to gaming procedures, game security and compliance with Video Lottery Regulations on assigned shift.
  • Performs all administrative duties necessary for the efficient operation of the shift.
  • Oversee schedules for Supervisors, Lead Ambassadors, Ambassadors and the Gaming Technicians for assigned shift.
  • Responsible for enforcing Operations operating procedures for Supervisors, Lead Ambassadors, Ambassadors, the Gaming Technicians and support staff.
  • Must practice, observe and enforce safety rules and regulations while looking out for the welfare of the customer.
  • Signs checks for hand paid jackpots.
  • Responsible for opening/closing of each shift, including the issuance and accountability of all keys, data system cards, tools and radios.
  • Maintains departmental personnel records and daily log.
  • Investigates player complaints and determines basis of grievance.
  • Reviews taxable jackpot transactions to ensure accurate information.
  • Interacts with customers and employees during their assigned shift to ensure that the team is always pleasant while being efficient and effective.
  • Responsible for the timely implementation of all procedural changes.
  • Responsible for the supervision of department staff.
  • Ensures that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Implements and evaluates new programs designed to improve daily operations.
  • In the absence of the VP/ General Manager, AVP, and Director-Slot Operations, the Slot Shift Manager is the final authority on assigned shift.
  • Prepares statistical data as requested.
  • Assists Surveillance and Security in keeping undesirables and juveniles out of the casino.
  • Assists the Ambassadors in preparing W2-G forms for jackpot wins of $1,200 and above.
  • Assists in accurately completing the meter reset slip on all progressive meter jackpots.
  • Hires, coaches, and counsels subordinate employees
  • Oversees and ensures the timely completion of employee evaluations
  • Conducts training with subordinates, both formally and informally
  • Issues discipline and terminates employees as appropriate
  • Rewards and recognizes superior performers
  • Oversees and ensures that employees work safely and follow all safety rules
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights as scheduled

    Qualifications

    Experience
    3 - 5 years: casino experience in a management role required (required)
    High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required, college preferred (required)
    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software. (required)
    Must possess superior customer service and leadership skills (required)
    Must possess superior written and oral communication skills (required)
    Must be able to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations (required)
    Must demonstrate extensive knowledge of gaming rules. (required)
    Must demonstrate the ability to direct a work force, to provide support to staff, and to delegate assignments. (required)
    Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as scheduled. (required)
    Must be able to successfully pass a background check and receive a key license from the DE Lottery (required)
