League One Volleyball (LOVB) is reimagining women's sports. Launched in 2019, our company is a mission-led sports performance, training and media enterprise that will change the game of volleyball in the USA and empower new generations of female athletes.
It is a groundbreaking time for volleyball in the US with our historic triple Olympic Gold medals in Women's Indoor, Beach and Sitting Volleyball. Volleyball is already the #1 most played girls' youth sport. There are 38M current and former players today. Of major sports, it's the only one that is women-first (~90% of players are female). But the volleyball market has been almost entirely missed by traditional sports investors, brands, and media.
LOVB is capturing this opportunity by creating a strong club business, and from that built-in audience and fandom, is creating the best Pro League in the world and a digital ecosystem that will connect all aspects of LOVB. Title: Senior Manager, Social Media & Content

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Social Media & Content to lead the team's digital presence and content strategy. This person will oversee all social media, creative storytelling, and content production while building a distinctive brand that connects with fans, grows the game, and drives business results.
This role requires a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable developing long-term content plans, capturing game-winning moments courtside, directing creative campaigns, managing creative production, and analyzing performance data. The ideal candidate understands volleyball culture, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and is passionate about telling athlete-first stories.
This role is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategy & Brand Growth
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content and social media strategy aligned with brand, ticketing, partnerships, merchandise, and community initiatives.
  • Build and evolve LOVB Salt Lake's digital identity across all platforms.
  • Drive audience growth, engagement, and fan conversion through creative storytelling.
  • Collaborate with league and local stakeholders to execute integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Stay ahead of emerging platform trends, audience behaviors, and industry best practices to continuously evolve the team's digital presence.

Content Creation
  • Lead content ideation, planning, production, and publishing across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, and emerging platforms.
  • Capture and edit photo and video content, including Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes storytelling, athlete features, mic'd-up sessions, practice content, community events, and partner activations.
  • Develop recurring content series that highlight athletes, Utah culture, and the club-to-pro pathway.
  • Write engaging, platform-specific copy that reflects the team's voice and brand.
  • Maintain a consistent visual identity and storytelling style across all content.

Creative Design
  • Lead creative planning for season launches, roster announcements, ticket campaigns, partnerships, and league initiatives.
  • Concept and execute original social-first campaigns that elevate the team's brand.
  • Collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, and league creative teams to produce high-quality content.
  • Ensure all creative aligns with organizational goals, brand standards, and campaign objectives.

Talent & Production Management
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage freelance photographers, videographers, editors, and content creators throughout the season.
  • Develop and oversee content production workflows for game days, practices, community events, and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage asset organization, delivery, and distribution through digital asset management platforms.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality creative while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with league creative teams and local partners to execute content that supports organizational priorities.

Live Event Coverage
  • Lead social media coverage for home matches, road matches, practices, and community events.
  • Develop game-day content plans and real-time storytelling strategies.
  • Capture, edit, and publish live content under tight deadlines.
  • Coordinate photographers, videographers, and freelance creatives during events to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Produce timely post-match content and recap storytelling.

Community & Culture
  • Foster meaningful relationships with fans through authentic community management.
  • Engage with athletes, youth volleyball players, partners, and local organizations.
  • Monitor trends across volleyball, women's sports, and digital culture to create relevant and engaging content.
  • Represent and maintain the team's voice across all social platforms.

Analytics & Optimization
  • Track performance across all social channels, including audience growth, engagement, reach, video performance, and conversion metrics.
  • Prepare regular reporting and actionable insights for team and league leadership.
  • Optimize content strategy based on audience behavior, analytics, and platform trends.
  • Measure campaign performance and recommend improvements to maximize impact.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience managing social media and digital content for a professional sports team, league, brand, or agency.
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball and the women's sports landscape.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful social media and content strategies.
  • Professional experience capturing and editing photo and video content.
  • Strong copywriting, storytelling, and creative ideation skills.
  • Experience managing creative projects from concept through execution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while balancing content production, publishing schedules, freelance coordination, and live event coverage.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with multiple priorities.
