Responsibilities
  • Responsible for producing live sports broadcasts for digital and linear broadcasts
  • Responsible for creating scripts for control room and talent
  • Responsible for creating and integrating ESPN approved graphics into productions
  • Responsible for working with the graphics team in graphic creation and recall
  • Responsible for scheduling and hosting coaches meetings with talent
  • Responsible for working with replay unit in building and loading show elements
  • Responsible for assigning replay outputs and choosing angles and speeds in broadcasts
  • Responsible for running Break Clock for digital commercial breaks
  • Responsible for working with Media Relations and Facilities in logistics and planning
  • Responsible for recording game records and managing Ki Pro Cards
  • Responsible for game melts including tags, and uploading to Edit Share and Media Bank
  • Responsible for researching team rosters, statistics, and storylines
  • Responsible for faxing statistical data feeds prior to live broadcast
  • Responsible for training and mentoring game day employees and students
  • Responsible for working with coaches shows
  • Responsible for working on broadcasts in various roles as needed

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Proficiency in planning and calling a live sports broadcast from the producer chair
  • Proficiency and experience in operating Ross Xpression
  • Proficiency and experience in managing replay units for packages and replays
  • Proficiency knowledge of ESPN graphic workflow
  • Proficiency in monitor wall layout design
  • Proficiency in delivering short yet informative cadence with directors and announcers
  • Proficiency in working with sideline reporters and integrating hits in a broadcast
  • Proficiency in understanding game flow and situational element integration
  • Proficiency in understanding statistics and their significance
  • Proficiency in understanding role responsibilities during a live broadcast
  • Proficiency in understanding rules of the game
  • Proficiency in working with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in working with XML files

  • Position requires Producer role experience producing ESPN digital live sports broadcasts
  • Ideal candidate will have experience as Producer or AP for linear broadcasts
  • Position requires previous live sports television broadcast experience
