Social Media Coordinator

Pay Starting at 20 per hour
Schedule: Flexible hours must be able to work on site regularly

Galtsand is looking for a creative, culturally curious, and highly motivated Social Media Coordinator to help bring our brand to life through content, storytelling, and community engagement. This role is based in our Wellington retail store and focuses on creating and executing social media content across platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and more.
You’ll be responsible for capturing the energy of the brand in real time, from in-store moments and styling content to campaign execution and product storytelling. We’re looking for someone who understands trends, has a strong eye for aesthetics, photography, and videography, and knows how to create engaging short-form video content that feels organic, elevated, and community-driven.
Responsibilities
  •  Create engaging daily content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social media platforms 
  •  Film and edit short-form videos, behind-the-scenes content, lifestyle content, and campaign videos 
  •  Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with Galtsand’s brand identity 
  •  Plan and organize content calendars around launches, seasonal drops, ecommerce holidays, and campaigns 
  •  Track key ecommerce and retail holidays (Black Friday, Holiday Season, Back-to-School, Valentine’s Day, etc.) and develop creative campaign ideas 
  •  Capture in-store events, customer experiences, styling moments, and product features 
  •  Collaborate with the creative and operations team on campaign execution and brand storytelling 
  •  Stay updated on social trends, viral formats, music trends, and platform changes 
  •  Assist with influencer outreach, community engagement, and brand ambassador initiatives 
  •  Help grow Galtsand’s online presence, engagement, and community 
Qualifications
  • TikTok and Instagram content creation experience is required
  •  Experience in videography and social media video editing required 
  •  Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and current social media culture 
  •  Proficiency in editing apps/software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar 
  •  Strong creative direction and storytelling skills 
  •  Ability to work independently and execute ideas quickly 
  •  Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines 
  •  Passion for fashion, lifestyle, sportswear, and creative branding 
  •  Photography experience is a plus 
  •  Previous experience in fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands preferred
