Job description

Arkansas Talent Group is searching for a Social Media Strategist & Content Creator for our client, a growing healthcare and hospitality company in Central Arkansas.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative, versatile social media professional who wants to do much more than simply fill a content calendar. Our client operates businesses in two very different industries- healthcare and hospitality- including medical practices and a restaurant. The person in this role must be able to understand those different audiences, shift their voice and creative approach accordingly, and develop compelling content and social strategies that make sense for each brand.

We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable behind a camera, developing a social media strategy, brainstorming a new campaign, editing video, analyzing engagement data, and identifying the next big idea.

Most importantly, this person needs to bring fresh thinking to the organization. We aren't looking for someone who wants to create the same style of posts week after week. The right candidate will continually look for new ways to tell stories, reach audiences, build engagement, experiment with trends and formats, and strengthen each brand's presence.

What You'll DoSocial Media Strategy
  • Develop and execute social media strategies designed to increase brand awareness, audience engagement, community growth, and overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Create distinct strategies for the company's healthcare and hospitality brands, recognizing that each requires a different audience, voice, message, and approach.
  • Develop and manage social media campaigns across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and other relevant channels.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, emerging platforms, algorithm changes, content formats, and best practices.
  • Bring new campaign concepts and creative ideas to the organization rather than relying on repetitive content.
  • Identify opportunities to test new approaches, platforms, content styles, partnerships, and campaigns.
  • Develop content calendars and maintain an appropriate publishing cadence across multiple brands.
  • Help establish and maintain a consistent brand voice while recognizing when the voice needs to change from one audience or business to another.
Content Creation & Videography
  • Conceptualize, shoot, edit, and publish engaging short-form video, photography, graphics, and other digital content.
  • Coordinate and execute video and photo shoots involving employees, medical professionals, patients when appropriate, restaurant staff, food, events, facilities, and other subjects.
  • Create polished video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and other digital channels.
  • Identify stories and content opportunities throughout the organization and turn them into compelling social content.
  • Capture both planned and spontaneous content while maintaining professional quality and brand standards.
  • Write engaging social copy and adapt messaging to the appropriate platform and audience.
  • Create visually appealing content that feels current, authentic, and tailored to each individual brand.

Strong videography skills are especially important for this position. Candidates should be comfortable owning the process from initial concept and filming through editing and final publication.

Community Engagement & Brand Management
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to comments, messages, mentions, and audience interactions across social platforms.
  • Build relationships with online communities and identify opportunities to increase engagement and followers.
  • Maintain brand integrity, style, quality, and tone across digital channels.
  • Coordinate with external influencers, partners, vendors, and community organizations when appropriate.
  • Work closely with marketing, PR, leadership, operations, and other departments to ensure social media efforts support broader business objectives.
  • Help develop appropriate strategies for responding to negative feedback and managing sensitive social media situations.
  • Exercise sound judgment when creating content for healthcare audiences and maintain appropriate confidentiality and professionalism.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze social media performance, engagement, audience growth, campaign results, and other relevant metrics.
  • Use analytics to understand what is working, what isn't, and why.
  • Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for future content and campaigns.
  • Regularly evaluate the company's social presence and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experiment with new ideas and use results to continually refine social media strategy.
  • Report on campaign and content performance and communicate recommendations to leadership.
What We're Looking For

This position requires someone who is both a creative content producer and a strategic thinker.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Highly creative with a strong eye for visual storytelling.
  • Skilled in videography, photography, video editing, and short-form social content creation.
  • Experienced developing and executing social media strategies—not simply posting content created by someone else.
  • Able to think strategically about different target audiences and adapt messaging, creative direction, and platform strategy accordingly.
  • Comfortable moving between dramatically different subject matter and audiences.
  • Full of ideas and willing to experiment with new approaches rather than defaulting to "what we've always done."
  • Knowledgeable about current social media trends, tools, platforms, and best practices.
  • Comfortable using performance data and analytics to guide strategy.
  • A strong writer and communicator who understands how tone and messaging should change by brand and audience.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing content and campaigns for multiple brands simultaneously.
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from idea through execution.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with employees throughout different areas of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in social media management, content creation, digital marketing, or a related role preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and editing high-quality video content.
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms and developing social campaigns.
  • Familiarity with content creation and editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar platforms.
  • Experience with social media and digital analytics tools strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare and/or restaurant/hospitality marketing experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing social media for multiple brands or distinctly different audiences is highly desirable.
Portfolio/Lookbook

Candidates who can provide a portfolio or lookbook showcasing examples of previous social media, videography, photography, campaigns, or other content creation work are highly preferred.

We want to see not only polished finished work, but also evidence of creative range—the ability to tell different stories, appeal to different audiences, and develop content that doesn't all look or feel the same.

Benefits & Perks

Our client offers a strong benefits package designed to support both employees' health and work-life balance, including:

  • Up to 6 weeks of paid time off annually
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options
  • Employer-paid Short-Term Disability (STD)
  • Employee-paid Long-Term Disability (LTD)
  • And one particularly great perk: employees are off at noon on Fridays

If you're a creative storyteller who loves social media but also wants a seat at the table when it comes to strategy, experimentation, and developing new ideas, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact across multiple growing brands.
