Job description

INTERNSHIP FORMAT 

This internship will follow an in-person model. Interns will be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and are expected to work on-site 5 days per week, depending on business needs. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2027.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS 

The Social Media internship offers the opportunity to learn and contribute to a dynamic, collaborative and enterprise-scale communications department. Participants will experience professional and personal development by contributing to important projects while owning their own project during the course of the internship.  

The Social Media intern will provide support for the organization in the following areas: 

  • Aid in content production for the Stellantis North America (NA) channels including Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and support company events and media drives when applicable.  
  • Assist in developing executive-ready reporting dashboards and presentation materials. 
  • Identify emerging social media trends, platform updates, and cultural moments relevant to the brand. 
  • Support content planning and publishing activities as needed — including assisting with asset gathering, content calendars, and help to identify user-generated content, employee-generated content and influencer partnership opportunities. 
  • Coordinate competitive research projects 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher, majoring in Marketing, Digital Media, Public Relations, Communication, or Journalism from an accredited college or university 
  • You’re social savvy— you get social-first content, spot trends before they peak and possess a strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Instagram and YouTube 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications 
  • Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship 
  • Completion of freshman year or higher at an accredited university by Spring 2027 
  • Ability to travel as needed to manufacturing facilities in Metro Detroit, MI and Toledo, OH. Travel is less than 10% 
  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels and with external partners

  • Strong interest in automotive and tech-mobility industry

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, photography and graphics skills, video writing/production skills, online content management tool familiarity, database management skills 
  • Ability to operate a small video camera, such as a smartphone camera or DSLR, some experience using consumer-level video editing programs 
  • Previous internship experience
