Job description
We are seeking a Master Control Operator (MCO) to monitor and control on-air programming across multiple television stations and digital channels. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate broadcast transmission, FCC compliance, signal quality, and reliable operation of broadcast automation systems in a 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities
Monitor and control on-air programming for multiple broadcast channels.

Operate broadcast automation systems, including Florical or similar platforms.
Ensure accurate playout of programming, commercials, graphics, and EAS alerts.
Execute live programming switches and special event broadcasts.
Monitor audio, video, and closed captioning quality.
Ingest and prepare content for broadcast.
Maintain FCC logs and operational records.
Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with engineering when needed.
Work closely with news, traffic, and programming teams to support daily operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
1+ year of experience in master control, broadcast operations, or television operations preferred.
Experience with broadcast automation systems (Florical preferred)
Knowledge of FCC regulations and broadcast compliance.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, 24/7 broadcast environment.
