What We're Looking For:

The Digital and Direct Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, and executing integrated marketing initiatives that strengthen The Hatch Group's brand, drive customer engagement, and support business growth. This role oversees the company's marketing presence across digital and traditional channels, ensuring consistent messaging and high-quality execution.

Responsibilities include creating and managing content for social media and digital platforms, developing and executing email marketing campaigns, coordinating trade shows and corporate events, producing presentations and marketing collateral, and supporting sales and business development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and brings innovative ideas that enhance brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.

What you’ll do:

The following reflects the approximate share of time dedicated to each area of responsibility. Trade show and special event percentages represent annualized averages, as these activities are cyclical and will require heavier focus in the weeks surrounding scheduled events.

1. Content Creation, Social Media & Marketing Strategy (25%)

Lead the company's day-to-day digital content strategy while maintaining an active and engaging online presence.

  • Develop original content for social media including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, websites, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
  • Capture photo and video content from projects, employees, customers, and company events.
  • Manage and maintain a rolling 30-day content calendar using Plann or other scheduling software.
  • Schedule and publish approved content across all social media platforms.
  • Monitor audience engagement, trends, and platform analytics to improve performance.
  • Develop new content ideas and campaign opportunities.
  • Participate in weekly marketing meetings and provide updates on current campaigns, upcoming initiatives, and project status.
  • Assist with execution of the company's annual marketing strategy and business development initiatives.
2. Email Marketing Campaigns & Performance Analytics (25%)

Plan, execute, and optimize direct marketing campaigns that generate leads, strengthen customer relationships, and support sales initiatives.

  • Develop and distribute email marketing campaigns for prospects, customers, and employees in HubSpot.
  • Create segmented mailing lists and targeted campaigns.
  • Build marketing automation workflows when appropriate.
  • Monitor campaign performance including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement.
  • Analyze campaign metrics and recommend improvements based on results.
  • Maintain marketing databases and contact lists.
  • Coordinate campaign messaging with sales leadership and company initiatives.
3. Creative Design, Presentations & Marketing Materials (15%)

Produce professional marketing collateral that supports the company's brand and sales efforts.

  • Design brochures, flyers, presentations, proposals, sales sheets, advertisements, trade show materials, and promotional items.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for executive meetings, customer presentations, and company events.
  • Support proposal development with professionally designed graphics and layouts.
  • Maintain consistency across all visual communications.
  • Coordinate printing and production with outside vendors as needed.
4. Brand Standards & Company Asset Management (15%)

Ensure The Hatch Group brand is consistently represented across all company assets and customer touchpoints.

  • Maintain company brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
  • Take ownership of digital assets with Google Drive keeping them highly organized and up to date
  • Review marketing materials to ensure consistency in messaging and design.
  • Coordinate lettering, wraps, DOT numbers, signage, and branding for vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain digital marketing assets including logos, photography, templates, and brand files.
5. Trade Show Coordination & Logistics (10%)

Coordinate all aspects of the company's participation in industry trade shows and conferences.

  • Register the company for industry trade shows and manage deadlines.
  • Coordinate booth reservations, sponsorships, and exhibitor requirements.
  • Research hotel accommodations and travel recommendations for attendees.
  • Inventory booth displays, promotional materials, giveaways, and equipment.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, setup, and return logistics.
  • Inspect, organize, and maintain trade show assets between events.
  • Coordinate booth staffing schedules and event timelines.
6. Special Event Planning & Employee Engagement (10%)

Support company culture and customer engagement through well-executed events.

  • Coordinate employee appreciation events, customer events, grand openings, community outreach initiatives, and company celebrations.
  • Manage event timelines, vendors, logistics, catering, and venue coordination.
  • Procure promotional items, giveaways, food, beverages, and event materials.
  • Develop internal promotional campaigns to maximize employee participation.
  • Coordinate event communications before, during, and after each event.
  • Evaluate event success and recommend improvements for future initiatives.
7. Other duties as neededRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in digital marketing, content marketing, brand management, or a related marketing role.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot (or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform) for email marketing, campaign management, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) to develop professional marketing materials and digital assets.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience managing corporate social media platforms and utilizing scheduling tools (such as Plann, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, job sites, and company events.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in the construction, commercial services, industrial, or B2B industries.
  • Experience with website content management systems (WordPress or similar).
  • Photography, videography, and basic video editing skills.
  • Experience coordinating trade shows, conferences, and corporate events.
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital advertising platforms.

Schedule

This position is in person at our Plainville, Massachusetts headquarters with occasional travel required for trade shows, job sites, and company events. Regular office hours of 8:30am - 5PM are to be maintained when not attending off-site business needs.

Salary Range

This position has a salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 plus goal based bonuses.
