Summary
As a Video Associate at Potomac, you will play a crucial supporting role in producing high-quality video content that elevates our brand across all channels. You will assist in very stage of the video process-including planning, filming, editing, and preparing content for distribution.
This role requires a proactive and enthusiastic creative who is eager to develop their videography and editing skills while executing with precision. Working closely with our creative team, you will help ensure brand consistency, strong storytelling, and engaging video content that aligns with Potomac's vision.
Additionally, we utilize the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to keep our teams focused and accountable, enabling us to identify and address both challenges and opportunities effectively.
Every piece of content you touch will contribute to elevating Potomac's visual identity.
This role is 100% onsite in Bethesda, MD.
What You'll Do
  • Edit a high volume of short-form and long-form video content, spending most of your time in post-production.
  • Help organize, archive, and maintain a library of video assets and ensure brand integrity across all visuals
  • Create short video clips from finished productions for us in social media
  • Review long-form video content created by the Videographer and identify compelling, concise clips suitable for social media platforms.
  • Set up and operate the podcast studio, including Blackmagic camera systems, studio lighting, and professional-grade audio equipment to ensure high-quality recording environments.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes photography and videography to document production days, showcase team workflows, and support marketing and social content.

Qualifications
Required
  • Ability to work on-site in Bethesda, MD
  • 2+ years professional experience or demonstrable equivalent experience in video production or a related field.
  • A video-related degree or certification is preferred, but not required for a candidate with a strong portfolio.
  • Demonstratable photography and videography skills, including basic camera operation and lighting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail
  • Comfort in handling pressure and making good decisions quickly

Preferred
  • Familiarity with web-based video editing tools such as Canva and Opus Clips
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite
Objectives
  • Enhance the volume of work we produce by supporting our video production efforts
  • Comply with legal and compliance regulations at all times
  • Setup and teardown the studio for a variety of set designs
  • Ensure all visual assets adhere strictly to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in style, color, and voice.
