Job Description: Position Summary

Guggenheim Securities ("GS") is seeking an experienced Vice President to join its Business & Technology Services investment banking team in Atlanta. The Vice President will join our highly collaborative team responsible for providing advisory services to private equity firms and corporate clients with a strong emphasis on sell-side advisory engagements. The team focuses on high growth segments of the market. Vice Presidents will have the opportunity work across our sell-side M&A team, including with colleagues in Boston, London, and New York. Guggenheim offers an unparalleled opportunity to work as part of small transaction teams on major strategic assignments providing meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in an unstructured environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead day-to-day project management and oversee execution on a range of advisory transactions
  • Work with senior professionals to support financial analyses, advisory transactions and highlight key takeaways
  • Oversee working knowledge of multiple client sectors, monitor key industry drivers and assemble insights to support and enhance advisory services and new business development initiatives
  • Review diligence, research, analysis and documentation of potential and live transactions
  • Lead development of relevant marketing memoranda, diligence exhibits and transaction artifacts
  • Anticipate potential deal challenges and elevate concerns through to team members in real time
  • Drive creation of strategic frameworks, tools and intellectual property to aid business development activities of the firm
  • Actively participate in client meetings and drafting sessions
  • Identify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete group tasks more efficiently
  • Build client relationships through effective dialogue with client finance and accounting teams
  • Apply understanding of macro factors related to client sectors and investment banking
  • Oversee "on the job" training, providing continuous, constructive feedback with goal of improving quality of analyst and intern work product
  • Ensure all activity is compliant with Guggenheim Securities' applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications
  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years of experience or an MBA with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in IB
  • Sell-side advisory experience, including successful track record of closed M&A transactions
  • SIE Exam, Series 79 and Series 63 must be acquired within 150 days of employment
Work Location

Currently, this role is expected to be in the Atlanta office at least 4 days per week.
