About Peace Out
Peace Out is a prestige skincare brand focused on science-backed solutions for acne-prone skin. Distributed across Sephora, Amazon, DTC, international markets and specialty retail, the company is at an important stage of operational and organizational evolution as it continues scaling across channels and geographies.
We are seeking a highly hands-on VP Finance to help strengthen the company's financial foundation, improve forecasting rigor and support scalable long-term growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a pragmatic finance operator who thrives in fast-paced founder-led environments and is energized by solving complex business and financial challenges.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, the VP Finance will lead the company's financial planning, forecasting, accounting oversight, cash flow management and financial infrastructure. This role requires a highly analytical, hands-on finance leader with deep experience in inventory-driven, omnichannel consumer businesses, ideally within beauty, personal care, wellness, CPG, apparel, or similar categories. The VP Finance must be equally comfortable operating at a strategic level and diving into the day-to-day financial and operational details of the business. This includes driving forecasting rigor, optimizing working capital, and partnering closely with leadership on inventory planning, margin management and channel performance across wholesale, Amazon and DTC. The ideal candidate is a pragmatic operator who thrives in fast-paced, founder-led environments and brings a strong track record of building financial discipline and scalable infrastructure to support multi-channel growth.

Key Responsibilities
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning processes
Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working capital optimization
Support lender compliance, reporting requirements and financial operations related to the company's ABL facility
Oversee accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll coordination, tax support and audit preparation
Develop reporting frameworks, KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making
Build and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and operational decisions
Support board materials, investor reporting and financing-related initiatives
Partner closely with leadership on pricing, margin analysis, inventory planning and business performance
Improve forecasting accuracy and strengthen financial discipline across the organization
Help build scalable financial systems, processes and controls to support future growth

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
Serve as a key financial partner to the Founder & CEO and leadership team
Build and lead a high-performing finance organization over time
Drive accountability, execution discipline and cross-functional alignment across departments
Support a fast-moving, collaborative and solution-oriented company culture

Qualifications
Required:

  • 10+ years of finance and/or FP&A experience within consumer products, beauty, wellness or CPG, including inventory-driven omnichannel businesses
  • Direct experience in one or more of the following categories: beauty, personal care, wellness, CPG, or similar consumer sectors
  • Experience operating within high-growth, founder-led environments
  • Strong understanding of FP&A, cash flow management, working capital and operational finance
  • Experience supporting multi-channel businesses across wholesale, Amazon and DTC
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field

Preferred:
Beauty, skincare or personal care industry experience
Experience managing through periods of rapid growth, operational transformation or organizational scaling
MBA, CPA or equivalent financial background
Experience with inventory-intensive consumer businesses and lender-managed environments

What Success Looks Like
Improved forecasting accuracy and financial visibility across the business
Strong cash flow discipline and improved working capital management
Increased confidence and rigor across financial reporting and planning
Scalable financial infrastructure capable of supporting continued multi-channel growth
A highly accountable, solutions-oriented finance organization

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary + performance bonus + equity opportunity
Medical, dental and vision benefits
401(k)
Remote work environment
Product allowance and employee discount
Opportunity to help shape the next stage of growth for a leading prestige skincare brand
