This executive will support developing and executing the company's construction strategy to support aggressive expansion while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with brand standards.

The VP of Construction partners closely with Real Estate, Operations, Finance, Facilities, Procurement, and executive leadership to drive scalable growth. This individual will oversee construction teams, consultants, architects, engineers, general contractors, and vendors while establishing best-in-class processes, reporting, and controls.

  • Ensure consistent execution of brand standards across all locations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve speed-to-open, reduce costs, and increase project efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasting models.
  • Own annual construction and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through value engineering, vendor negotiations, and process improvements.
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance to ensure responsible capital deployment.
  • Present project status, forecasts, and risks to executive leadership.
  • Build and manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, landlords, and developers.
  • Lead bid processes and contractor selection.
  • Establish vendor performance standards and accountability measures.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal building regulations.
  • Mitigate construction risks, delays, and operational disruptions.
  • Champion safety, quality, and construction excellence across all projects.
  • Maintain consistency in permitting, inspections, and project documentation.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing construction organization.
  • Mentor and lead Directors, Project Managers, and Construction Managers.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
  • Experience supporting 20+ annual openings.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, or related certifications.

Location & Work Environment

  • Preferred candidates will be based in Dallas, Phoenix and Las Vegas
  • Travel will be needed for team connection, onboarding and key business initiatives.
