Territory: Central United States
Location: Remote (near major metro airport preferred)
Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 base salary + uncapped territory and company bonus programs

About the Role
AFX is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive sales across the Central United States within the Commercial, Residential, Showroom, and Hospitality markets.
This is a remote role best suited for candidates located near a major metro airport, with the ability to travel frequently throughout the territory (approximately 50–60%). This position reports to the VP of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets
- Forecast and deliver sales performance by agency
- Manage the sales pipeline and ensure opportunities are followed through to close
- Determine competitive pricing strategies on bids and custom projects
- Prepare and analyze sales reports to identify growth opportunities
Channel & Agency Management
- Manage independent sales rep agencies and dealers
- Establish sales territories, quotas, and performance goals
- Provide training, support, and tools to sales partners
- Drive strategic account planning across the territory
Client Engagement & Field Activity
- Conduct field visits, joint sales calls, and presentations
- Build relationships with distributors, contractors, agents, and end users
- Participate in trade shows and industry events
- Travel approximately 50–60% of the time
Market Intelligence & Collaboration
- Monitor competitor activity and provide insights
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams on strategy and launches
- Contribute to pricing, SKU selection, and go-to-market strategies
- Share regional insights to support business planning
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 5–7+ years of experience in lighting sales (regional or national level)
- Experience as a Regional or District Sales Manager strongly preferred
- 3+ years of selling specification lighting products through agents and distribution
- Strong understanding of the lighting specification community and channel ecosystem
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel 50–60% within the territory
