Job description

@properties, part of Compass International Holdings, is seeking a Vice President of Brokerage Services to lead the recruiting, retention, and professional development of real estate agents across assigned office locations. This role implements company-wide brokerage initiatives at the local level and ensures consistent execution of systems, training, culture, technology adoption, and operational standards as defined by the EVP of Brokerage Services and senior leadership.

The VP acts as the primary leader of the local office(s), builds a strong culture of performance, and collaborates across departments to improve the agent experience, increase productivity, and strengthen retention.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting and Retention

  • Own full recruiting lifecycle for assigned office(s): identifying candidates, presenting the value proposition, and closing.
  • Execute recruiting strategies, campaigns, and systems developed in partnership with the EVP, including support tools, lead tracking, and prospecting touchpoints.
  • Track agent movement and market data; monitor competitive activity and identify opportunities for strategic recruiting wins.
  • Ensure smooth transitions for incoming agents, coordinating with onboarding and operational teams.
  • Build a strong culture within the office through purposeful interactions, weekly office meetings, and local events.
  • Partner with the EVP in executing retention strategies, identifying at-risk agents early, and taking action to maintain long-term loyalty.
  • Promote and participate in company culture initiatives, events, and engagement programs.

Agent Development and Support

  • Implement the company's agent development programs, ensuring that training and coaching are delivered consistently and aligned with the EVP's expectations.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning; identify development needs and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure agents adopt and utilize company technology, marketing platforms, and training resources.
  • Stay current on state license law, compliance, contract forms, and best practices; educate agents and ensure proper adherence.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for contract, compliance, or transactional issues; coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Accounting, IT, and Contract Admin as needed.

Leadership & Alignment with EVP

  • Execute brokerage priorities, recruiting plans, retention programs, and operational initiatives developed by the EVP of Brokerage Services.
  • Carry out consistent performance standards, expectations, and accountability within the office(s).
  • Provide feedback to the EVP on market trends, agent sentiment, competitive pressures, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Support execution of companywide change initiatives; help agents and office teams adapt quickly and confidently.
  • Collaborate with other Vice Presidents and Managing Brokers to share best practices and build consistency across offices.

Success Measures

  • Recruiting results and successful onboarding.
  • Agent retention and growth in production.
  • Adoption of systems, tools, and brokerage initiatives.
  • Culture strength and agent satisfaction within assigned office(s).
  • Execution quality and alignment with EVP-led company priorities.

Qualifications

  • Active real estate broker license.
  • Proven experience in real estate brokerage management, recruiting, and agent development.
  • Strong leadership presence; able to influence and guide others through change.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • High level of comfort with technology and data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to handle escalations with clarity, confidence, and discretion.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing training, development, or growth programs.

Special Assignments and Company Initiatives

In addition to the core responsibilities of the role, the Vice President of Brokerage Services may be assigned special projects or companywide initiatives. These may include leading or supporting training classes, contributing to pilot programs, testing new tools or technology prior to broader rollout, or participating in ad-hoc initiatives driven by business needs.

The VP is expected to:

  • Take ownership of special assignments and execute them with a high level of professionalism.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and ensure alignment with EVP direction and company goals.
  • Maintain strong communication with the EVP regarding progress, outcomes, and resource needs.
  • Balance special assignments alongside daily leadership responsibilities within assigned office(s).

Compensation: The salary pay range for this position is a base pay of $150,000 - $180,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
