Job description

This is a hybrid role reporting to our Itasca, IL office.


Position Overview:

The Treasury Manager is responsible for leading the Company`s cash management infrastructure and supporting strategic treasury initiatives across the organization. This role oversees bank accounts administration, cash positioning, liquidity monitoring, and forecasting activities, ensuring the efficient management and optimization of cash resources. The position plays a key role in enhancing treasury operations through process improvements, system optimization, and the strengthening of internal controls. Leveraging a strong understanding of treasury management practices, banking services, and financial risk management, the Treasury Manager identifies opportunities to improve liquidity visibility, operational efficiency, and governance. This role supports the VP, Treasury Management and Corporate Finance in executing treasury strategies, with a primary responsibility for cash operations, liquidity management, bank relationship management, and treasury systems oversight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Liquidity Management

  • Support the execution of the treasury strategy by leading the consolidation of the banking relationships and bank account structures across the organization.
  • Drive initiatives to optimize cash positioning, liquidity visibility and improve cash efficiency across the company.
  • Monitor, forecast, and report on short-term and long-range liquidity positions; escalate risks and recommendations to VP, Treasury Management and Corporate Finance. Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting models to support operational liquidity management, financial planning, and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures over cash accounts and support enhancements to controls and account structure in accordance with internal guidelines.

Banking and Debt Administration

  • Manage day-to-day banking relationships, including account administration, banking service reviews, and performance monitoring, while supporting strategic bank relationship management initiatives.
  • Assist the VP Treasury in evaluating financing alternatives, banking services, and treasury products to support the Company's funding and liquidity objectives.
  • Support the administration and ongoing monitoring of debt facilities and related agreements, including covenant compliance, reporting obligations, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
  • Prepare and maintain forecasts of interest expense and debt levels to support budgeting and planning processes; analyze and explain variances against plan and prior periods.

Treasury Systems & Process Improvements


  • Lead the implementation, administration, and continuous enhancement of the Kyriba Treasury Management System to support treasury operations, reporting, controls, and automation.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and system enhancements that increase efficiency, strengthen controls, improve data integrity, and maintain a robust audit trail.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to optimize treasury-related processes and ensure effective integration between treasury systems and enterprise applications.


Strategic Treasury Initiatives

  • Support bank selection, bank rationalization, and treasury transformation initiatives, including the coordination of RFP processes, vendor evaluations, and implementation activities and new cash services in collaboration with the Treasury team and parent company treasury teams.
  • Prepare analyses, presentations, and reporting materials for senior management to support treasury decision-making and strategic planning.


KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Support the optimization of cash management processes and treasury operations contributing to reductions in interest expense and banking fees through effective liquidity management.
  • Improve cash visibility and forecasting accuracy to support informed liquidity and funding decisions across the organization.
  • Support initiatives to optimize working capital and reduce excess cash balances while maintaining adequate liquidity to meet operational and strategic requirements.
  • Achieve targeted levels of cash concentration and bank account rationalization in accordance with the Treasury strategic roadmap.
  • Successfully implement and enhance treasury systems and automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reporting capabilities, and control effectiveness.
  • All KPIs will be achieved in alignment with liquidity, risk, and capital allocation, risk management and objectives set by VP, Treasury Management and Corporate Finance.


Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:
  • Exercises independent judgment in daily treasury operations within established policies; escalates strategic, funding, and financial risk decisions to VP Treasury.


Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Mid-level management role focused on treasury operations, cash management, and treasury systems.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • In depth knowledge of Kyriba Treasury management system preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in Excel modeling and Power BI
  • In depth knowledge of cash forecasting techniques.
  • Working knowledge of bank treasury management systems, product, services and experience being account administrator and ensuring proper controls are in place.
  • Experience working in a Treasury environment requiring SOX 404 compliance.
  • Knowledge of general accounting required.

Education and Experience:
  • BS Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • MBA and/or CFA/CPA desirable.
  • 4-6 years’ experience, preferably 3+ years in Treasury environment or Banking Treasury Solutions environment


Licensing and Certification: CTP preferred

Working Hours:

  • Hours may vary and will require evening work and weekends depending on business needs and will require working overtime.

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Personal computer, copier, fax, phone, and other typical office equipment


Travel:
  • Occasional travel related to attendance at industry seminars or meeting with bank representatives or visiting other offices.


Physical Demands:

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  • Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
  • Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another.

The position is exempt and the salary will be between $125,000.00 and $155,000.00 with an opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus.

The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
