Description

The Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance is responsible for leading all of ACI Jet's Maintenance Activities. This role serves as the strategic visionary for our maintenance division, translating corporate objectives into operational excellence within all business units as they relate to aircraft maintenance under FAR 91, 135, & 145 as applicable. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will maximize the long-term value of our aviation assets, drive strategic revenue growth, cultivate lasting relationships with our diverse customer base, and support our high level of safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management)


Essential Duties Answer the Following Questions:

  • Direct and lead all of ACI Jet's maintenance personnel and operations.
  • Pursue and manage MRO customer relationships both directly and through the MRO team to ensure that facilities run efficiently and at capacity.
  • Manage the end-to-end aircraft maintenance operation to ensure that value is optimized relative to customer needs and preferences.
  • Ensure all aircraft and maintenance operations comply with FAA safety regulations.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams of maintenance professionals , fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Pursue and manage strategic partnerships, OEM authorizations, and key vendor relationships while supporting quality audits.  (i.e. ISBAO, Wyvern, etc.)
  • Prepare and present detailed business financials and analysis to company stakeholders.
  • Develop processes and procedures to accomplish the above duties in a scalable and sustainable manner.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial business acumen and leadership experience in the aviation industry.
  • High level of professionalism and self-confidence; self-starter.
  • Extensive technical understanding of the aircraft that ACI services & supports.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and quickly assess what needs to get done.
  • Experience conceptualizing, designing, and implementing systems and processes to achieve desired objectives in a scalable and sustainable manner.
  • Ability to use considerable discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with confidential information or difficult situations.
  • Ability to lead, engage, inspire, and influence maintenance staff.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive disposition.
  • Airframe & Powerplant Certification or similar military aircraft technician experience.
  • Understanding of financial management and reporting with the ability to interpret financial statements and present results with context to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work long hours and travel, while remaining productive and present in operations.

$200K - $300K commensurate with experience
