Vice President, National Aviation Market Growth Leader

 Shape the Future of Aviation RS&H is seeking an accomplished and visionary Vice President, National Aviation Market Growth Leader to drive the next era of growth for one of the nation's leading aviation practices. In this executive leadership role, you will define and execute a bold national growth strategy, expand relationships with some of the industry's most influential aviation organizations, and elevate RS&H's presence across the aviation marketplace. As the firm's senior-most aviation business development leader, you will champion growth across our Infrastructure, Buildings, and Construction Management practices while helping clients successfully navigate the rapidly evolving future of aviation. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President and leader of the Business Development Organization, you will play a pivotal role in achieving RS&H's long-term strategic vision, leading national business development efforts, strengthening key client partnerships, and driving innovation across traditional aviation markets and emerging sectors such as Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). This is a unique opportunity for a transformational leader to leave a lasting impact on the aviation industry while helping shape the future of a nationally recognized employee-owned firm. Role Summary:The Vice President, National Aviation Market Growth Leader serves as the firm's primary market-facing aviation growth executive and is responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide growth strategies, client engagement plans, and revenue initiatives across the aviation market. This leader will collaborate closely with business unit leadership, strategic partners, and clients to drive sustainable growth, expand market presence, strengthen relationships, and position RS&H at the forefront of an evolving aviation industry. Key Responsibilities:

• Drive National Aviation Growth Strategy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive national aviation growth strategy aligned with firmwide business objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, geographic expansion efforts, emerging service offerings, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead business planning, revenue forecasting, pipeline management, and market growth initiatives across the aviation sector.
  • Partner with leadership teams to align growth objectives with operational excellence and client success.
• Cultivate Executive-Level Client Relationships
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to key aviation clients across commercial, general, business, military, and emerging aviation markets.
  • Lead account planning and client engagement strategies that strengthen relationships and create long-term value.
  • Act as executive sponsor and account leader for select strategic clients.
  • Represent RS&H at industry conferences, executive forums, trade shows, and key client events nationwide.
• Lead High-Impact Business Development Efforts
  • Guide strategic pursuit efforts from opportunity identification through contract award.
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to position RS&H for success in competitive opportunities.
  • Lead client presentations, interviews, negotiations, and business development initiatives.
  • Drive annual sales performance and market growth objectives through a collaborative, One RS&H approach.
• Advance Innovation and Emerging Markets
  • Lead and expand RS&H's presence in the rapidly evolving Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) marketplace.
  • Monitor industry trends, funding opportunities, regulatory developments, and market intelligence to identify future growth opportunities.
  • Help shape innovative service offerings that address emerging client needs and industry challenges.
• Build Strategic Partnerships
  • Foster and strengthen relationships with joint venture partners, subconsultants, and strategic industry partners.
  • Collaborate with corporate development teams to support both organic and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities and integrated solutions across multiple disciplines and service lines.
• Lead and Inspire Teams
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing national Aviation Market Growth team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a thought leader both internally and externally, elevating RS&H's visibility and reputation throughout the aviation industry.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience driving business development, client growth, and aviation market strategy.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• 5+ years leading teams and developing talent.
• Proven success leading enterprise-wide client development and market growth strategies within the aviation, AEC, or aviation consulting industry.
• Demonstrated ability to secure, retain, and expand strategic client relationships.
• Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills.
• Deep understanding of strategic sales processes, client account management, and market expansion.
• Experience leveraging CRM systems and data-driven insights to drive business decisions.
• Ability to lead complex pursuits, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in key internal meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions strategies and integration efforts.
• Certifications in business development, strategic planning, marketing, positioning, segmentation, or market strategy.

For candidates located in Colorado or Illinois, the salary range for this position is $250,000-$300,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, business needs, and geographic location. This position is eligible for annual bonus, potential equity, and company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, paid holidays, and other benefits subject to plan terms and eligibility
