Job Description

The Vice President, Technology Strategy & Portfolio Management serves as a key member of the Enterprise Business Solutions leadership team and is responsible for shaping the strategic direction, investment portfolio and operating rhythms for NBCUniversal's Enterprise Business Solutions portfolio (Finance/HR/Sourcing, Corporate Functions, Enterprise Platforms (SAP etc.)).

This leader will drive technology strategy across Finance, HR, Corporate Functions and Enterprise Platforms, translating market trends, emerging technologies, and vendor roadmaps into actionable business strategies. The role also owns portfolio and program governance, investment planning, business operations, and executive reporting for the Enterprise Business Solutions organization.

The position reports directly to the SVP & CIO, Enterprise Business Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Technology Strategy

  • Work with vertical VP leaders to develop multi-year technology strategies across Finance, HR and Sourcing, and other Corporate Function portfolios.
  • Analyze enterprise software provider earnings reports, product roadmaps, analyst research, market trends and broader geo-political factors to develop executive-level strategic recommendations on future technology and AI strategy
  • Advise on technology investment priorities and future-state architecture decisions.
  • Produce quarterly technology strategy reviews and executive briefings.

Emerging Technology

  • Establish and maintain relationships with venture capital firms, startup ecosystems and technology partners to identify opportunities and influence Enterprise Platform technology strategy
  • Work with peer VPs to identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation across Finance, HR and Enterprise Functions.
  • Benchmark industry peers and leading enterprises to inform technology strategy.

Portfolio Management & Governance

  • Lead enterprise portfolio governance processes.
  • Manage PMO for large transformation programs (Finance and HR Transformations)
  • Manage annual investment planning and prioritization.
  • Oversee portfolio health reporting and executive governance forums.
  • Drive value realization tracking and benefits measurement.

Business Operations

  • Partner with Finance to manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Lead vendor management and strategic supplier relationships.
  • Drive capacity planning, workforce planning and operating rhythms.
  • Prepare executive communications, leadership reviews and board-level reporting.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of enterprise technology leadership experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise technology strategy and investment roadmaps.
  • Proven experience leading portfolio governance, PMO functions or technology business operations.
  • Deep understanding of SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Microsoft and Oracle ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of AI, automation and emerging technology trends.
  • Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as needed in a demanding environment

Desired Characteristics:

  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or equivalent strategic consulting experience preferred.

  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
