Description -
HP is a technology company founded on the belief that companies should do more than simply generate profit. We envision a world where technology improves lives everywhere. At HP, great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time-and one idea can change the world. Today, HP is among the world's most sustainable, just, and inclusive technology companies.
The CTO, Software organization at HP is a global team of thousands of engineers and leaders shaping the future of how software and platform technologies power HP's product portfolio. • Lead the security function, responsible for making secure software delivery the default path, with security embedded into application software, platforms, pipelines, and engineering workflows.

  • Lead the data and AI function, responsible for developing and executing a new vision for delivering trusted data, AI, and ML capabilities that software, platform, and product teams can use safely and repeatedly.

  • Lead the infrastructure function, responsible for delivering scalable, cost-efficient, secure-by-default infrastructure primitives for all software and platform engineering teams.

  • Lead the reliability function, responsible for defining and leading the reliability strategy and execution for the shared platform services that power HP's products and digital experiences.

  • Partner closely with stakeholders to implement and exemplify a true platform engineering producer-consumer model supported by well-defined, aligned service-level objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; a Ph.D. is preferred.

  • Current or prior engineering experience operating at the VP level within an established technology company.

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in engineering functions, including 8+ years in senior people management roles, and preferably 4+ years of technology / software engineering leadership experience managing global teams, serving multiple internal customer organizations, and delivering capabilities used by millions of users or supporting $100M+ businesses.

  • Demonstrable accomplishments in organizational development efficiencies and building a high-performing team of talented software engineers and leaders with diverse experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated success in delivering significant, measurable business value through engineering excellence, efficiency, and execution-speed improvements.

  • Deep technical expertise and experience in distributed systems, modern cloud-native software architecture, and modern AI-native software development lifecycle practices.
