Job Title: Regional Vice President, Breaker Service Shops

Department: Branch Operations

Reports To: Vice President Breaker Service Shops, Group CBS

JOB SUMMARY

This individual will provide leadership in motivating, managing, and evaluating Breaker Service Shops. Accountable for the financial performance of both individual locations and the region overall. Direct reports include, not limited to, General and Operations Managers (Site location) leaders as assigned. This role works closely with Regional Sales Managers accountable for Outside Sales, VP Operations, VP Sales, Finance and business partners as well as leadership in our Power Products and Field Service Organizations. This management role will coordinate activities with other departments to best serve the needs of our customers and employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate leadership in day-to-day management of the Breaker Service Shops under their direction.
  • Coordinate work across locations to optimize service, revenue and profitability.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop site General Managers, Operations Managers and their staff.
  • Lead and take ownership of management responsibility relating to hiring, performance management and overall people management in your organization.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively to meet Breaker Service Shops operational and financial goals.
  • Monitor and control budgets within the region.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for Breaker Service Shop operations.
  • Analyze data to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
METRICS

Financial metrics start with revenue growth with EBITDA performance to budget. Other leading metrics are reviewed/updated as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

General and Operation site leaders as others as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a culture of continuous process improvement and waste elimination that yields improvements to quality, delivery, cost.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products – Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (Microsoft Dynamics Experience Preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Excellent Technical knowledge, specifically in Breaker Service Shop Operations.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • The VP, Breaker Service Shops often needs to travel extensively within the US to visit locations, meet with clients, attend meetings, and visit prospects. This can involve driving long distances, flying, or other modes of transportation.
  • Significant time may be spent driving to different locations. This can involve sitting for extended periods and may include navigating through various traffic conditions.
  • Occasional reaching/working overhead, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion
  • Lifting requirements include occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 15 pounds.
BONUS/COMMISSION PLAN

Eligible for participation in the GCBS Management Bonus Program.

EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY
  • Introductory -- Will be written at approximately 90 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue
  • Annual Reviews – Employee will be given a formal regular annual review, which assesses productivity and demonstrated business skills and accomplishments for the previous period.
WORK SCHEDULE

The role of VP, Breaker Service Shops has not set schedule. Hours are based on the needs of the company. Time off will be granted with proper formal notice in accordance with company policy.
