Healthy Pet, a leading sustainable manufacturer of small animal products and natural cat litter, is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position will be on our night shift.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Be Experienced in the Following:

  • Installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a wide variety of industrial machines, equipment and facilities while ensuring a safe environment and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Performing root cause analysis of mechanical failures to prevent future occurrences. Recommending changes to maintenance including PMs to reduce downtime.
  • Prepares and installs machinery and equipment including VFD’s, PLC’s, low voltage controls, 3-phase 480V, motors, and other wiring.
  • Prioritizing production to improve percent uptime.
  • Performing fabrication, welding and wiring.
  • Monitoring the performance of machinery and equipment after repairs have been carried out.
  • Tracking and reviewing machine maintenance and preventative maintenance in COGZ
  • Promoting lean principles. Works with other departments and assists with the creation or updating and implementing of process improvement procedures, tasks, workflows and systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements for Consideration:

  • High School Diploma/GED and successful completion of an apprenticeship program or a certificate from a recognized vocational trade school. Associate degree in Instrumentation and Controls preferred.
  • Experience with automated equipment.
  • Experience in a production manufacturing environment. Consumer packaged goods industry experience preferred.
  • Machinist and some electrical experience.
  • Computer skills.
