Work Location: Fort Carson - Colorado Springs, CO

Pay Rate: $36.63 per hour

Health & Welfare: $8.92 - $11.73 per hour


About the Role 

This position performs service and repair of HVAC controls systems with EMCS.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Position entails mandatory standby, rotation basis.
  • Report to HVAC Supervisor.
  • Service and repair HVAC control systems monitored by EMCS 
  • Troubleshoot controls systems, testing sensors, actuators, and signal, VFD's, replacing components, as necessary.  
  • May participate in Electronic Certification programs.
  • Work from verbal or written instructions.
  • Additional duties in direct support of departmental requirements.
  • Consistently produces quality products and service. 
  • Completes all training within required timeline. 
  • Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Position requires training and experience obtained through certification or on the job training.
  • Formal training in computer systems and electronics is desirable, but not mandatory. 
  • Experience with HVAC equipment controls a plus.
  • Familiar with and have the expertise to perform troubleshooting with low voltage circuits.
  • Basic computer skills/comfortable with using a computer. Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License. 
  • Position entails mandatory standby, rotation basis.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check. 
  • Must possess the ability to work in a high-volume office area and interface in a positive manner with co-workers and the customer. 
  • Must possess the ability to work in a team or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice. 
  • Performs all assigned duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and directives. 
  • Displays courtesy and skill in dealing with internal and external customers, coworkers, and management. 
  • Accurately maintains and updates records to enable quick and efficient retrieval of information.

  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays. 
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle. 
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle. 
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check
