Job description

Companion Animal Wellness Center in Poulsbo is looking for an experienced individual to fill a full time Veterinary Assistant position.
As a small clinic, all our staff are an important piece of the puzzle.
Duties of the Veterinary Assistant position include:
  • Checking in, scribing, and facilitating appointments.
  • Restraining patients.
  • Taking dictation.
  • Communicating with clients regarding care plans for patients.
  • Filling prescription requests across various online platforms.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
  • Setting up surgery.
  • Coordinating with treatment and front staff to ensure a smooth flow.

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a veterinary clinic.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • A passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to clients and patients.

Our clinic is open Monday through Thursday 8 am to 6 pm; no late nights or weekends. We offer medical and dental benefits, a generous PTO policy, family pet discounts for up to three pets, uniform and CE allowances, and an excellent work environment with supportive team members. We are a locally owned and operated two-DVM practice welcoming everyone.
