Argenta, MVS is currently looking to fill a Veterinary Technician role at our Oakland, NE location.
The Veterinary Technician position is an opportunity for motivated, driven individuals to showcase their ability to multitask and work as a team.
The Veterinary Technician adds value through the following responsibilities:
  • Clean and perform daily chores repeatedly under the direction of senior staff and veterinarians.
  • Collect research data and samples in accordance with study protocols and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Assist veterinarians in observations and procedures and inform veterinarians if abnormalities are observed
  • Promote and maintain the well-being of animals including feeding and basic care
  • Repair, maintain and operate equipment/machinery
  • Perform administrative duties that support the care of animals and site functions
  • Responsible for recording information both timely and accurately
  • Build relationships with key individuals and contributors in the organization and beyond

Veterinary Technician requirements:
  • Associate degree in Veterinary science or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience working with animals; large and small
  • Ability to work well with others and maintain composure
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as communicate effectively both written and orally
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven
  • Dependability, flexibility and ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to be on call and in on-call rotation, including weekends
  • Live within a satisfactory distance to assist in on call purposes and procedures
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
