VCA Palmetto Animal Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!
About Us
Located in beautiful Myrtle Beach, we offer emergency and critical care, primary care, surgery, and boarding.
Our state-of-the-art facility includes digital radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, surgical laser, cold laser therapy, a dedicated dental suite with radiology, and multiple surgery suites. We provide an environment where you will be supported and challenged to grow and learn with a dynamic team.

About the Role
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Required skills include:
  • Patient assessment and triage
  • Hospitalized patient care
  • Client education and care
  • Anesthesia monitoring
  • Surgical preparation and assisting
  • Radiology
  • Laboratory sample collection and processing
  • Microscopy
  • Venipuncture
  • Catheter placement
  • Pharmacy
  • Medical record keeping

Schedule: Full TIme, weekend rotation required.
Compensation: $16 - $20 / hour is based on skill level and experience.
