Job Description

James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital (JAHVH) – one of the busiest and most complex VA hospitals in the nation – is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist to join our exceptional surgical team. You’ll provide comprehensive urological care to a diverse veteran population, supported by a full complement of experienced specialists, state-of-the-art technology, and an integrated electronic health record system.


Position Highlights
  • Diagnose, evaluate, and manage urologic conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Perform surgical procedures including endoscopic, laparoscopic, and open techniques.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with other VA and university providers.

  • Supervise residents and trainees from affiliated academic programs.

  • Participate in quality improvement and teaching opportunities.


Work Schedule
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Call coverage shared with team, limited night/weekend call


Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered based on agency needs)

  • MD or DO degree from accredited institution

  • Board Certified / Eligible in Urology

  • Active, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory

  • Eligible for VA employment (background check, credentialing required)
