Job description

HOURS ARE MON – FRI, 10:00 AM TO 7:00 PM (AND EVERY OTHER SATURDAY AND SUNDAY)


North Davidson Veterinary Hospital located in the Lexington / Welcome area has dedicated over thirty-eight years serving our clients and their pet family members. We are adding experienced staff and looking for the right individuals to demonstrate compassion and care for all animals, while effectively communicating with our doctors and team members.

The team member must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes weekend and holiday rotation. Candidates must possess the ability to multi-task and have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be able to easily lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ø Efficiently place IV catheters, draw blood from both canine and feline patients, administer vaccines and injections.

Ø Accurately performing laboratory procedures (obtain and read cytology samples: ear cytology / skin cytology / skin scraping / urinalysis).

Ø Appropriately handling animals.

Ø Interacting, instructing and educating our clientele on a professional level.

Ø Assisting the veterinarian with routine and surgical procedures.

Ø Preparing and labeling medications and prescriptions.

Ø Hospital cleaning duties.
