Veterinary Technician 
Emergency Veterinary Services of Lisle
Location: Lisle, IL
Shifts: Friday Evening + Saturday or Sunday Day Shifts (12-hour shifts)
Compensation: $21.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Emergency Veterinary Services is a well-equipped small animal emergency hospital located in Lisle, IL. Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality emergency care to pets when they need it most.

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys teamwork, and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care. Both credentialed and non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply. Emergency experience is not required, but candidates should feel confident in their technical abilities and eager to continue learning.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside a supportive and fun team while gaining valuable emergency medicine experience.

Position Details

  • Occasional Friday evening shifts (flexable)
  • Saturday or Sunday day shifts (12 hours)
  • No overnight shifts
  • Some holidays
  • Weekend availability is required

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and provide treatments for hospitalized patients
• Perform in-house laboratory testing
• Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures
• Place IV catheters and perform blood draws
• Take and position radiographs
• Safely restrain patients for procedures and exams
• Provide client communication and education
• Communicate with referring veterinarians as needed
• Assist with occasional reception duties
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and organization
• Support the team with additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience required
CVT or credentialed technician preferred but not required
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Compassion for both patients and clients
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Dependable with strong teamwork skills
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
