- 10+ years of experience on Vertica database Administration
- Well versed in DB administration in Vertica 8.x and 9.x including configuration, upgrades and Node management
- Experience in DB2 (DPF), Hadoop would be added advantage
- Experience in performance tuning and resolve bottlenecks in CPU, memory, disk I/O and network related issues
- Perform database and query performance tuning and upgrades
- Perform general technical troubleshooting and give recommendation to application team
- Experience in Capacity Planning on database
- Must have Shell Scripting experience and Agile environment is a plus
- Experience in VMC tool
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills
- Vertica database administration including configuration, upgrades and Node management
