Pay/Schedule: $32 - $36/hour + Overtime

Overtime is not guaranteed and is dependent upon market conditions and company operations.

What You'll Do

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team. This role is paid hourly and is not commission based. This role is essential in initiating service and repair processes, verifying warranty coverage, developing estimates, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The Service Writer also plays a key role in assigning jobs to technicians, managing workflow, and ensuring accurate invoicing.

  • Assign service jobs to technicians based on skill, availability, and shop flow.
  • Schedule road service calls efficiently and economically.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding service status.
  • Review and finalize repair orders for accuracy in parts, labor, and materials.
  • Submit and reconcile warranty claims with vendors.
  • Address and escalate customer complaints to the Service Manager.
  • Stay current on technical and product knowledge for all equipment sold.
  • Participate in company communication efforts including meetings and huddles.
  • Maintain professional relationships with team members and customers.
What You Bring
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in vehicle or construction equipment service, or equivalent.
  • Solid technical knowledge of equipment and repair processes.
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in CDK, Microsoft Office, and internet-based tools.
  • Must pass background check, drug screen, and MVR check.
