Insurance Verification Specialist (Full Time)
Department: Imaging
Location: 1326 Eisenhower Drive, Savannah, GA
SOUTHCOAST HEALTH IS LOOKING FOR A FULL-TIME INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST FOR OUR IMAGING DEPT!
Qualifications :
  • Ability to communicate clearly and speak concise.
  • Ability to exercise professionalism in dealing with all levels of personnel, patients, and patients' families.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Knowledge of general medical office procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
Responsibilities:
  • Verify insurance policy benefits.
  • Assure all insurance information has been obtained and documented.
  • Educate patients and families on insurance issues.
  • Communicates patient's fiscal responsibility in a professional manner.
  • Answer telephones, screen calls and provide general information and questions regarding billing and cost.
  • Performs/assist with other non-clinical duties.
  • Job holder is expected to be at work on a regular and predictable basis.

Education/ Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of related experience required.
