Job description

Job Description This is a non-merit, temporary position. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise. The hourly wage for this position is $39.04-$60.04

The Iowa Veterans Home is looking to fill a temporary Pharmacist to assist the state. This is a non-merit position working approximately 15 hours a week up to 780 hours a fiscal year. Duties include functioning as a dispensing pharmacist independently in all required areas of pharmacy (computer input, filling and checking orders, compounding, IV preparation, answering telephones).

Will provide med information to appropriate disciplines. May assist in leading technicians when necessary and answering procedural or medication-related questions. Performs any training as necessary for technicians when requested.
