Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Verification Specialist to join our lending operations team. This position is responsible for reviewing and verifying loan documentation, auditing files for accuracy and completeness, and researching customer information to ensure compliance with company policies and lending requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and prepare all documentation required to complete loan applications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Utilize both manual and automated processes to verify customer information and supporting documentation.
  • Perform data entry, data retrieval, and auditing functions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan files.
  • Verify information provided on loan applications and contract packages, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues as needed.
  • Communicate directly with Credit Officers regarding documentation concerns, missing information, or application discrepancies.
  • Conduct customer and employment verifications as required.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing phone calls professionally while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure all loan documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the loan review process.
  • Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in loan processing, loan verification, lending operations, banking, finance, or a related administrative role preferred.
