Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Vendor Lead to oversee our vendor relationships and ensure optimal performance, compliance, and value delivery. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative culture that values innovation and service excellence.

This role is critical in supporting business operations through effective vendor contract negotiation, performance tracking, and strategic alignment. The Vendor Lead will collaborate closely with our internal training and leadership teams, as well as manage external vendor partners.


Key Responsibilities

Contract Negotiation and Management:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts with vendors, ensuring they meet the organization's requirements and legal standards.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Tracking vendor performance against agreed-upon metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and taking corrective actions.

Risk Management:

  • Identifying potential risks associated with vendors, such as financial instability or non-compliance, and developing mitigation strategies.

Relationship Management:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and ensure open communication.

Compliance:

  • Ensuring vendors adhere to all relevant policies, regulations, and contractual obligations.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contributing to strategic planning related to vendor management, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in vendor management software and tools.
  • Experience in vendor management or procurement.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
  • Location: Hybrid: remote and on-site work required (Columbus, OH).
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • May require additional availability or flexibility for escalations.
  • Regular meetings with your teams, departments, or leadership to ensure alignment.
Key Essential Functions
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer and on the phone throughout the workday.
  • Ability to engage in continuous phone and computer use, including navigating multiple systems simultaneously, for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for an entire shift, including typing, mouse use, and phone handling.
  • Ability to view and read information on a computer screen for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally via phone, email, and internal systems.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a remote environment with minimal distractions and maintain productivity and performance standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, workflows, and processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet attendance, schedule adherence, and performance expectations, including flexibility for occasional extended hours or weekends as business needs require.
