Job description

We have an immediate opening for a VP of IT in our Bellingham, WA facility. This position is an in-house role and not eligible for remote or hybrid work.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute the company’s enterprise technology strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of information technology operations including infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP systems, e-commerce platforms, business applications, networking, telecommunications, cloud services, and end-user support.
  • Oversee technology planning and implementation for retail, warehouse, distribution, and corporate operations.
  • Lead the evaluation, adoption, governance, and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and automation initiatives across all departments to improve operational efficiency, decision-making, customer experience, productivity, and business innovation while ensuring appropriate security, compliance, and data governance standards are maintained.
  • Establish IT policies, procedures, governance standards, cybersecurity protocols, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
  • Manage IT budgets, forecasting, capital expenditures, software licensing, and vendor contracts to ensure cost-effective and scalable technology solutions.
  • Direct enterprise systems initiatives including ERP enhancements, systems integrations, reporting and analytics, automation projects, and digital transformation efforts.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities where technology can improve operational efficiency, customer experience, productivity, and profitability.
  • Lead and mentor IT personnel by establishing performance expectations, professional development opportunities, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that support future business growth and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external technology vendors, consultants, managed service providers, and telecommunications providers.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including experience leading enterprise technology strategy and operations.
  • Experience supporting retail, distribution, warehouse, or e-commerce environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, cloud technologies, cybersecurity frameworks, networking, infrastructure, business applications, Business Central and systems integration.
  • Experience managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, software licensing, and technology contracts.
  • Proven experience leading technology projects and organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
