Job Title: Driver

Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Summary:
The Driver at Martin plays a critical role in our operations by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers. As a Driver, you will be responsible for loading and unloading products, making deliveries within a designated radius, and performing various warehouse support functions. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will contribute to our overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while representing Martin at customer and company locations.
  • Safely load and unload products at customer and Martin locations, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
  • Operate a 26-foot box truck and cargo van to make deliveries within a 75-mile radius
  • Fill vending machines and restock inventory at customer locations as needed.
  • Troubleshooting vending machine issues and making minor repairs.
  • Process orders for shipping and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Fulfill paper requests within a timely manner upon receiving requests.
  • Assist in receiving purchase orders and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Manage and document all signed delivery paperwork for control purposes.
  • Communicate back to the branch any concerns or needs of the customer.
  • Basic warehouse functions including, order picking, stocking, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and cleaning

Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to drive a 26-foot box truck
  • Ability to drive a cargo van
  • Meet the driving criteria of Martin, insurance requires age 21
  • Operate a vehicle safely and abide by the laws of each state you travel in
  • ability to operate any material handling equipment (forklift, order picker, pallet jack, etc.)
  • Pass a D.O.T. Physical
  • Pass a drug screening and background check
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Have a working cell phone
