Community Hospital is a full-service, acute-care hospital, licensed for 60 beds. We are an independently owned hospital that serves Western Colorado, which is the largest metropolitan area between Denver and Salt Lake City. In 2024, Community Hospital earned the prestigious 5-star quality rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and was recognized by Becker's Healthcare as one of Colorado's top recommended hospitals. In 2025, Community Hospital earned the highly coveted Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ from Healthgrades.
Western Orthopedics and Sports Medicine has been instrumental in Community Hospital's unprecedented growth and success over the last decade. Western Orthopedics and Sports Medicine serves as the exclusive Sports Medicine physicians for all four District 51 area high schools, Colorado Mesa University varsity and club sports, and the Grand Junction River Hawks minor league hockey team. Western Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is an accredited Joint Commission Orthopedic Center of Excellence for Total Joint Replacement Surgery for hip, knee, and shoulder. As this service line continues to grow, we are actively looking for an additional Fellowship Trained Total Joint Surgeon to support the western Colorado and eastern Utah regions.
Position Benefits Include:

  • Join a comprehensive orthopedic group consisting of Fellowship Trained Sports Medicine, Foot and Ankle, Hand, Total Joint and Orthopedic Spine Specialists
  • Well established Velys Robotic-Assisted knee replacement program
  • Group supports a growing Level III Trauma Center with approximately 24,000 annual visits
  • 1:7 call rotation. Trauma experience strongly preferred
  • Competitive Base Salary of $750,000 plus wRVU Production Bonus Potential (8,840 wRVU Bonus Threshold).
