As a Physical Therapist at Velocity Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients with various orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation cases, and sports injuries to assess their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient's specific needs and established functional goals, ensuring that these plans are evidence-based and effective.
• Applying manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise programs, and functional training modalities to enhance patient mobility, strength, and overall physical health.
• Educating patients and their families on movement mechanics, recommended home exercise programs, and effective injury prevention strategies to promote long-term health and wellness.
• Collaborating closely with orthopedic physicians, medical staff, and fellow therapists to provide holistic and comprehensive care for our patients.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatment protocols, and progress using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Continuously updating skills and knowledge through participation in professional development activities and staying informed on best practices in orthopedic physical therapy.

Your primary focus will be on elderly patients who often face complex health challenges requiring tailored rehabilitation strategies. This demographic frequently benefits from specialized therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring mobility and managing pain, which can significantly enhance their overall well-being. Your experience working with this patient population will be invaluable in managing their treatment effectively.

The following qualifications are essential for applying to this role:

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct physical therapy experience.
• Proficient knowledge in orthopedic rehabilitation and a commitment to achieving positive patient outcomes.

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be preferred:

• Prior experience working within an Assisted Living Facility.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.

Velocity Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include:
