Job description

Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill a Vehicle Attendant position for a manufacturing company in Smyrna, TN. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Moving factory-new vehicles to designated shipping and storage locations
• Returning to the plant by van or on foot to retrieve the next vehicle
• Scanning vehicle movements using a handheld scanner to ensure accurate location tracking
• Performing housekeeping or PDI duties as scheduled or as needed
• Following all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Performing job duties in a safe and responsible manner
• Working collaboratively in a team environment
• Performing other duties as assigned

Compensation (USD):

$16.50 – $20.00/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift
Monday – Friday
7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Overtime Required

2nd Shift
Monday - Friday
2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Overtime Required

3rd Shift
Sunday – Thursday
9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.
Overtime Required

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to operate vehicles with automatic transmissions (manual preferred but not required)
• Ability to work safely and follow all policies and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to work overtime based on production needs
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and standard operating sheets
• Ability to communicate work instructions using basic high school vocabulary
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete/asphalt surfaces for extended periods
• Ability to climb stairs, bend, and flex to enter and exit vehicles
• Ability to drive vehicles at night or after dark
• Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
• Ability to open and close hoods and trunk lids and set emergency brakes as required
• Commitment to following all workplace safety rules and practices
