Overview

The Enterprise Truck Rental Division has an immediate opening for a Full Time Vehicle Service Attendant (VSA). This position pays $18.45 / hour and is located at 2130 AIRPORT DR SASKATOON, SK S7L 6M

The Vehicle Service Attendant (VSA) is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing vehicles in accordance with the Complete Clean Pledge, and for ensuring the maintenance and basic safety elements prior to operation by customers and employees so all vehicles rented from the branch are properly maintained. The VSA is also responsible for scheduling and performing pre-rental inspections on all trucks, assists with driving and parking various trucks and vans in multiple locations and may assist with local deliveries.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct multi-point safety and mechanical inspections:
  • Identify safety concerns, report any warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage
  • Pull vehicle out of the prep processing as necessary and notify management of any potential unsafe equipment and conditions, truck and/or van problems, and maintenance needs
  • Vacuum and prepare vehicle interior per Complete Clean Pledge standards
  • Clean vehicle exterior and inspect vehicle exterior for damage
  • Check tire condition, pressure and tread depth
  • Schedule and perform basic maintenance and minor repairs (wipers, dock bumpers, lights, etc.) on trucks within the fleet
  • Drive and park various trucks and vans; may assist with local truck and van deliveries
  • Check fluid levels and add as needed
  • Install telematics devices and ensure they are working properly
  • Maintain an appropriate level of tool and parts inventory
  • Ensure ready line is staged with required units
  • Execute opening and closing procedures of the detail bay; maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
  • Utilize proper personal protection equipment (PPE) as appropriate and ensure cleaning and sanitization supplies are available
  • Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting
  • Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Novice 2 or Class 5 Full with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years
  • No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds to assist customers
  • Due to commercial vehicle Hours of Service requirements, this position is not compatible with outside employment. Successful candidates will not be permitted to maintain outside employment
  • Apart from religious observations, must be able to work one of the following schedules: 
    • Schedule A: 

      • Sunday 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday 10:00am-6:00pm, Tuesday: 10:00am - 6:00pm, Thursday 10:00am-6:00pm, Friday: 10:00am - 6:00pm

      Schedule B: 

      • Sunday - Thursday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
