Job description

As a Rental Manager, you will manage branch rental employees and ultimately be responsible for all aspects of the branch's rental business. The primary goal is to provide Bearcom customers with short-term wireless communication equipment rental services. Rental Managers are expected to be hands-on in daily operations and coordinating all rental business aspects.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with and take rental orders from clients.
  • Coordinate equipment needs to fulfill customer's rental orders.
  • Responsible for rental equipment inventory control. Work directly with the Dallas Rental Operations Center (ROC) on inventory issues.
  • Directly supervises anywhere from 1 to 4 employees, Rental Coordinators, and Rental Driver(s) on daily tasks. These duties include coordinating rental deliveries and pick-up schedules, maximizing efforts of staff when they are in the office (cleaning & testing equipment, etc.), and executing daily plans to ensure all aspects of the business are in-line with expectations set by the ROC.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. These include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Provide top-notch customer service to all BearCom customers. Much of the customer service includes basic equipment application troubleshooting and dealing with invoicing issues after the rental sale.
  • Keeping the General Manager involved in the pursuit of attaining rental revenue goals.
  • Light marketing of BearCom rental services to local events and happenings in the office territory.
  • Planning and installing equipment for customer's rental needs.
  • Computer programming of rental equipment.
  • Ensure that all equipment that goes out to customers exceeds the minimum standard of functionality, cleanliness, and properly branded with Bearcom labels.
  • Computer entry and invoicing of rental orders.
  • Keeping the Branch General Manager abreast of rental business and issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in operations management and or sales.
  • Strong Sense of Urgency: All issues or problems must be dealt with swiftly, effectively, and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Being precise is imperative to position.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Rental business is very time-sensitive. All aspects of the position must be handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Strong Communication and People Skills: Manage all daily interactions with customers, branch personnel, and ROC with professionalism.
  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge comes from on-the-job training. However, the ability to retain knowledge in daily rental experiences is vital.
  • Teamwork: Facilitate teamwork through his/her General Manager, sales team, other branch office rental coordinators, and ROC.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Drug screenings and background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle Record check.
