The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our residential HVAC operation in Tallahassee.
This position is responsible for the overall performance of the HVAC service and installation departments through leadership, coaching, sales development, operational excellence, and KPI management.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential HVAC, understands duct systems, has experience leading high-performing teams, and has worked within the Nexstar Network or similar performance-driven environment.
What You'll Lead
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop service, installation & sales teams
  • Hold technicians and frontline leaders accountable to company expectations
  • Conduct ride-alongs, one-on-one coaching, and performance reviews
  • Build future leaders through ongoing development

Sales Performance
  • Coach technicians on presenting solutions and building customer trust
  • Improve average ticket, close rate, maintenance conversions, and replacement opportunities
  • Reinforce ethical, customer-focused sales processes
  • Develop a high-performing sales culture without sacrificing customer experience

Operational Excellence
  • Partner with dispatch to maximize technician efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor scheduling, productivity, callbacks, warranty work, and profitability
  • Ensure operational consistency across all field activities
  • Drive continuous process improvement

Training & Development
  • Develop technical training plans
  • Improve HVAC diagnostics, ductwork knowledge, installation quality, and customer communication
  • Support onboarding and development of new technicians
  • Promote continuous learning and professional growth

Monitor and improve key operational metrics including:

What We're Looking For
Required
  • 5+ years of residential HVAC leadership experience
  • Previous Operations Manager, Service Manager, or General Manager experience
  • Strong residential HVAC diagnostic experience
  • Thorough understanding of residential duct systems and airflow
  • Proven ability to lead sales-focused service teams
  • Experience managing KPIs and departmental financial performance
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
