Pressure Washing Systems Environmental, Inc. (PWS) is entering an exciting period of growth and expansion. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – Commercial Operations to help build the operational foundation for what comes next.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can lead commercial field operations while modernizing systems, developing people, and building processes that scale.

PWS is investing in connected technology to improve how we manage people, customers, fleet, equipment, scheduling, compliance, and financial information. Our environment includes NetSuite, Samsara, WhipAround, Field Service Management systems, GPS/telematics, and proprietary applications. We want a leader who can maximize these tools, improve adoption, use data to drive decisions, and build a more efficient, technology-enabled operation.

The Opportunity

The Operations Manager will lead commercial field operations while overseeing fleet readiness, transportation compliance, maintenance administration, inventory, and operational performance.

Primary Responsibilities

Field Operations Leadership

• Lead daily commercial field operations through Field Supervisors and coordination with Logistics.
• Hold supervisors accountable for attendance, productivity, safety, service quality, and professionalism.
• Coach and develop supervisors and technicians; manage performance issues through coaching, corrective action, documentation, and follow-up.
• Ensure at least 95% of scheduled jobs are completed daily without customer escalation.
• Improve field execution, productivity, communication, accountability, and scalability.

Team Leadership & Meetings

• Conduct weekly one-on-ones with the Field Supervisor and Logistics Planner.
• Lead weekly Operations Alignment Meetings with Fleet, Logistics, Staging, and Field Services.
• Conduct technician safety/performance meetings every six weeks and quarterly evaluations.
• Build a culture of accountability, communication, continuous improvement, and development.

Service Quality & Customer Experience

• Conduct site audits to verify service quality and cleanliness.
• Investigate deficiencies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Audit job tickets, routes, inspections, and documentation.
• Maintain key customer relationships and address recurring service issues.

Fleet Operations & Transportation Compliance

• Oversee fleet readiness so vehicles and equipment are safe, compliant, and available.
• Partner with Fleet Maintenance on preventive maintenance and repairs; monitor availability, costs, and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Maintain driver qualification files, inspection records, maintenance documentation, and required compliance records.
• Coordinate inspections, registrations, licensing, and regulatory documentation.
• Work with Fleet and Facilities to resolve breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Use telematics and data to improve fleet visibility, reliability, accountability, and utilization.

Maintenance Shop & Inventory

• Oversee shop administration, including work orders, repair tracking, preventive maintenance, vendors, and documentation.
• Support mechanics and maintain organized, efficient administrative processes.
• Manage parts, tools, fluids, tires, filters, consumables, and critical spares; maintain records, audits, purchasing, and reorder controls.

Operational Excellence & Technology

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety policies, and operational standards.
• Review Samsara, GPS, tablet activity, and field data daily to verify technician compliance.
• Maintain daily key and tablet accountability with zero discrepancies.
• Prepare scope-of-work documentation and visual job aids for new or specialized work.
• Improve workflows, SOPs, and operational efficiency.
• Help optimize NetSuite, Samsara, WhipAround, Field Service Management systems, and proprietary applications.
• Identify technology/process gaps and work with leadership on better solutions.
• Establish scalable processes and drive technology adoption throughout the field organization.

Reporting & Cost Management

• Prepare daily KPI reports covering production, route efficiency, fleet readiness, safety, customer concerns, and technician performance.
• Submit weekly summaries and monthly/quarterly reports covering productivity, staffing, fleet, maintenance, safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, and trends.
• Monitor overtime, labor utilization, staffing, production costs, route efficiency, scheduling, and technician utilization.
• Review scheduling and technician utilization with the Logistics Planner.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Sales and Customer Service to resolve customer concerns.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, retention, and workforce development.
• Support recruiting/interviewing; manage keys/access control for assigned accounts.
• Keep ERP, operational, maintenance, and administrative records accurate and current.
• Improve cross-department communication, coordination, and execution.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days

• Build relationships across field, maintenance, and support teams.
• Audit major accounts, fleet, maintenance, technology, and operating processes.
• Identify priorities and establish a visible field leadership presence.

Within 6 Months

• Performance management and operational meetings are consistent and documented.
• Fleet maintenance administration and preventive maintenance are organized and followed.
• FMCSA/DOT documentation is accurate and audit-ready.
• Maintenance inventory is organized, accurate, and controlled.
• Key processes and technology are used consistently and meaningful improvements are implemented.

Within 12 Months

• Field operations perform consistently with minimal executive intervention.
• Reporting is timely, accurate, and actionable.
• Fleet reliability, efficiency, customer satisfaction, safety, accountability, and service quality improve.
• Processes are standardized, measurable, and scalable.
• Technology improves visibility, accountability, productivity, and decision-making.
• Commercial operations are positioned to support continued company growth.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a hands-on operations leader and builder who understands how to turn people, processes, technology, and resources into consistent results.

The ideal candidate has managed hourly field employees in a service, transportation, logistics, or operations environment and understands that operational excellence depends on leadership, accountability, execution, effective systems, and a reliable fleet.

You're comfortable coaching supervisors, addressing difficult performance issues, making decisions under pressure, and solving problems in the field. You understand transportation compliance, work effectively with mechanics, maintain organized maintenance operations, and ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant, and ready for customers.

You are also comfortable learning technology, using operational data, improving processes, and challenging outdated ways of doing things when a better solution exists. You see growth as an opportunity to build.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum three years managing hourly field employees in a service, logistics, transportation, fleet, or operations environment, including supervisors and multiple field teams.
• Experience with coaching, corrective action, performance improvement, discipline, and termination processes.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and experience supporting transportation compliance and fleet operations.
• Experience managing maintenance administration, preventive maintenance, repair tracking, work orders, vendors, inventory, and parts control.
• Experience preparing operational reports, KPI dashboards, and leadership summaries.
• Experience using fleet management, GPS, ERP, or field service software such as Samsara, WhipAround, NetSuite, or similar.
• Strong organizational, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel regularly to customer locations.

Preferred

• Background in transportation, trucking, commercial fleet operations, commercial cleaning, pressure washing, facilities services, landscaping, pest control, waste management, or other multi-route field service operations.
• Experience with a fleet maintenance shop or CMMS.
• Experience improving underperforming operations, rebuilding teams, implementing operational technology, or supporting growth and transformation.
• Strongly preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements

This role works in office, warehouse, maintenance shop, and outdoor commercial service environments. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel frequently between customer locations.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs.
