Pay: $18/hr
Job Full Description
Logistics Service Desk Coordinator
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with required Saturdays beginning at 7:00 AM. Saturday shifts typically last 6 to 8 hours or until truck unloading is complete. Additional overtime, extended hours, and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
Position Summary:
The Logistics Service Desk Coordinator supports daily freight and logistics operations by managing schedules, coordinating appointments, tracking shipment activity, and serving as a primary point of contact for customers, carriers, exhibitors, and internal departments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and coordinate load dates, delivery appointments, and dock activities
• Monitor appointment adherence and shipment timelines
• Answer incoming phone calls and emails in a professional manner
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
• Communicate with customers, carriers, exhibitors, and internal departments regarding freight status and logistics needs
• Manage activities for multiple loading docks and coordinate dock scheduling
• Handle freight inquiries and resolve logistical issues in a timely manner
• Document incidents, track resolutions, and escalate unresolved concerns as needed
• Provide support through multiple communication channels while maintaining a high level of customer service
Qualifications:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and general computer applications
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Comfortable working in a busy, open office environment
• Ability to sit for extended periods and maintain focus throughout the workday
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
