Job Summary

The Inventory Control Assistant supports inventory accuracy and operational efficiency by executing inventory control processes and ensuring accurate material flow across warehouse and production environments. This role partners with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery, accurate system reporting, and compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support daily inventory and operational processes by utilizing systems including SAP, E2Open, Vector, Web UI, Smile 80, and Outlook
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and bin integrity while reconciling discrepancies within SAP
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound material flow, including 3-way verification of shipments and support of forklift/warehouse operations
  • Partner with vendors to manage delivery schedules, resolve discrepancies, and support invoice and purchase order follow-up
  • Align raw material planning and production disposition to minimize waste and ensure production needs are met
  • Maintain compliance with daily operational checklists, SOPs, safety policies, and GMP requirements
Job Requirements

•    High school diploma or GED preferred.
•    Minimum of one year of work experience required.
•    2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a supply chain environment preferred.
•    Experience using inventory or ERP systems (SAP preferred) to perform transactions and maintain accurate records.  Experience with systems such as SAP, E2Open, Vector, Web UI, or Smile 80 is preferred.
•    Demonstrated ability to execute cycle counts, audits, and reconcile inventory discrepancies
•    Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and adherence to process
•    Ability to support material flow operations, including inbound/outbound coordination in a fast-paced environment
•    Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and vendors
•    Familiarity with GMP, safety standards, and standard operating procedures preferred
•    Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)

Physical Requirements

•    Speaking: Constantly (investigates, recommends, reports)
•    Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
•    Mobility: Frequent travel throughout Heartland Facility (walking in warehouse)
•    Bending/Squatting: Frequent (picking up product, moving product)
•    Lifting: Frequent- Lift 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product)
•    Able to be certified on manual and powered pallet jacks or forklifts
•    Typing: Frequently using electronic devices for day-to-day business (typing, creating reports)
•    Climate: Frequent work in a non-climate-controlled environment (cold, hot)

Pay: $23.50/hr
