Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring VDC/BIM Manager in Riverside, CA. The VDC/BIM Manager will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of BIM/VDC workflows to support complex plumbing and heating projects. This role requires a technical leader capable of managing 3D modeling activities for fabrication and installation while ensuring seamless coordination between field teams and general contractors.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $100,000 to $130,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of BIM/VDC workflows for all active projects.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce company BIM standards, templates, and execution plans to ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Manage and coordinate all 3D modeling activities to support fabrication, installation, and clash detection efforts.
  • Communicate design intent and model changes clearly to field teams and company leadership to ensure project alignment.
  • Conduct regular BIM coordination meetings with internal teams, trade partners, and general contractors.
  • Develop project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and monitor compliance across all project stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve spatial conflicts through the clash detection process prior to field installation.
  • Support fabrication workflows by ensuring models are accurate and ready for production requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for BIM-related technical inquiries and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a VDC or BIM management role, specifically within the MEP or mechanical construction industry.
  • Extensive experience in 3D modeling and coordination for fabrication and installation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead BIM coordination meetings with diverse stakeholders including general contractors.
  • Strong technical proficiency in developing and implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex model data for field-based teams.
  • Solid understanding of BIM standards, templates, and digital construction workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills focused on clash detection and spatial coordination.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard for prolonged periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required for close-up computer work and detailed 3D model analysis.
  • May occasionally need to climb stairs and/or ladders during site visits.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and bending may be required.
  • May need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Potential exposure to construction site environments, including loud noises and heights.
