Job description

Position Summary

The Department of Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, located in Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking a board-eligible/certified academic vascular surgeon with expertise in both open and endovascular surgery to join the faculty. The position is available at either Assistant or Associate Professor Level. An interest in clinical research and/or education is required.

As one of six full‑time vascular surgeons at a large tertiary University Hospital and an adjacent Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the successful candidate will have attending responsibilities in state‑of‑the‑art hybrid endovascular operating rooms and ICAVL‑approved vascular laboratories. The role includes clinical care, teaching medical students, general surgery residents (5 per year), integrated vascular surgery residents (1 per year), and vascular surgery fellows (1 per year). Our program has a 30‑year history of training vascular surgery fellows and a decade of training integrated residents.
