Job description

Job Description Our client, a leading atmospheric solutions company specializing in wellhead and VRU compression, is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join their team. This is a local position so you must be located within 50 miles of Midland, TX. Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR, physical, and drug screening as a requirement for this position.

Benefits: Schedule: 6 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday (occasional on-call weekends, after hours) Hours: averaging about 50+ hours each week Pay range - $26-$30/hour depending on experience Company vehicle and fuel card provided Benefits provided - health, dental, and vision insurance all on day one 401(k) match, 10 PTO days, 3 sick days, 10 paid holidays. Responsibilities: Follow all safety protocols and customer-specific safety requirements at job sites to maintain a safe work environment Build and assemble mechanical components according to specifications Perform routine maintenance and repairs on natural gas engines, VRUs, and compression equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tuning Inspect natural gas compression units, conduct diagnostic testing, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Conduct emissions testing on compressors to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations Manage inventory on the service truck and accurately track and charge out parts used in the field Support field operations with a strong focus on equipment reliability and uptime Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience working with natural gas engines and/or Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs) is required Familiarity with various natural gas compression units and production equipment Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including use of a multimeter Experience with automation controls is preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
