Job description

Now Hiring: School Van & School Bus Drivers

E-fficient School Transportation is seeking dependable and safety-minded professionals to join our transportation team. As a School Van Driver or School Bus Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring students are transported safely, on time, and in a supportive environment.


Qualifications

Minimum age of 21 years

Successful completion of a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and DOT physical examination

High school diploma or equivalent required

Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or driving-related offenses

School Bus Drivers: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements

Van Drivers: Standard driver’s license accepted (no CDL required)


Responsibilities

Safely transport students to and from school using assigned school vans or buses

Follow established routes and schedules, ensuring timely arrivals and departures

Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment for students during transit

Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and district policies

Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Maintain accurate records including mileage, fuel usage, and student ridership

Execute emergency procedures and uphold all safety standards as required
